Laurel Bridge Awarded Contract by Department of Vetrans Affairs

VA Purchases Enterprise License for DICOM Connectivity Framework (DCF) Software Newark, DE (November 8, 2010) – Laurel Bridge Software is pleased to announce that the United States Department of Veterans Affairs has awarded a multi-year, nationwide, enterprise license contract for continued and expanded use of its DICOM Connectivity Framework (DCF) Software within all VA medical centers.

Since 2005, DCF DICOM libraries have been used by the VA to support and enable enhanced DICOM communications for its VistA Imaging software and to support image transfers with the Department of Defense (DOD). VistA Imaging provides an enterprise-wide paperless and filmless electronic health record for VA hospitals. As of September 2010, VistA Imaging has captured and stored more than 1.6 billion images nationwide, perhaps the largest repository of medical images in the world.
